Carla Penoncelli
I began practicing Ashtanga Yoga after the COVID-19 pandemic, during a time of personal change and self-exploration. Over time, I became passionate about various disciplines, such as Hatha Yoga and Postural Pilates. Every practice I teach is supported by a trauma-informed approach, aimed at creating a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment for each individual’s experience.
I am constantly committed to a path of growth and learning, with particular focus on studying the neurophysiology of trauma applied to yoga. This area of research allows me to delve deeper into the connection between body and mind, adapting each practice to meet individual needs, especially for those with significant trauma histories.
I am a certified CSEN 250 RYT in Hatha Yoga (2023) from Vinyasa Studio Torino and hold a certificate of participation and completion of the 110-hour Somatic Competence Yoga® course from the Istituto di Psicosomatica Integrata in Milan (2024). I have also had the opportunity to further my practice and knowledge by attending workshops with masters such as Petri Raisanen, Laruga Glaser, Ty Landrum, and Peter Sanson.
I currently teach Hatha Yoga at the Yoga Place school by Roberto Bocchi BFC Bodyline in Moncalieri (TO), and Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga and Pilates Matwork at Studio 73 Yoga & Pilates in Turin.
